The CEDIA Designer (formerly The Cinema Designer) is a cloud-based design tool that, minutes after entering room specs and design criteria, will produce a technically perfect home cinema or media room design with full documentation, a scale rendering of the finished theater, and a 3D CAD model.
The CEDIA Designer calculates in minutes what would typically take an experienced cinema designer several weeks, saving crucial design time on projects.
Experience The CEDIA Designer, the world’s most powerful home cinema and media room design software, with this webinar led by its creator.

Brand new for ISE 2019, CEDIA brings a full-day Home Cinema Design Masterclass to ISE 2019. Joel Silver, founder of the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), will bring all this experience to bear in his workshop, focusing on the vitally important topic “How bright will be bright enough in the year 2020?'.
He will discuss in detail the impact of emerging video standards and display technologies on the desired brightness levels we aim for in a home cinema. Included will be format technologies such as HDR and 8K and the newest display technologies including Laser projection.
Anthony Grimani, President of Grimani Systems, is a highly respected expert in home cinema design and acoustics. In his segment he will explore and discuss one of the most tricky of all design topics - managing bass performance for multiple seats.
Various options will be discussed alongside the influence of room layout and construction on achieved bass performance. “The Father of Home Theater”, Theo Kalamorakis of TK Theatres has designed some of the finest private cinemas for movie stars, sports legends and world leaders.
Theo will share his experience, delving into the tricky subject of balancing performance, aesthetics and usability in a high-end home cinema. Room construction, layout, interfaces and environmental controls will all be considered as the class works towards an ideal balance of these competing requirements.
The session will round out with a panel Q&A session where students will have the rare opportunity to submit questions on any aspect of home cinema design to this most esteemed expert group.
